The big beauty news from NY so far? Uber-model Iekeliene Stange's drastic colour swap from glossy brunette to cool, ice blonde. Spotted as a brunette at all of last season's hottest shows and campaigns (Gucci, Sonia Rykiel et al), we love her cool new look and reckon it's set to be the start of a new wave of icy blonde bombshells. OK, going lighter isn't exactly ground-breaking news, but what we love about this new take on blonde is that it's all about ditching the 'California, beach babe' approach to highlighting and instead going for a wash of pale, creamy blonde all over – something the Grazia beauty desk are all currently coveting and cultivating already. Like it too? Be warned, it takes planning and there are rules to working such a 'fashion' colour:
1) Brows must be bleached – this is not grungy so dark brows will just not do.
2) Keep your cut/style simple. Anything too fussy or layered will look retro rather than cool and modern.
3) Give in to being high-maintenance – roots so aren't a part of this look and regular re-growth salon visits are essential.
