With the New York, London and L.A premiere already over this week, we can't wait until Nicole Kidman's new film ‘Australia' hits UK screens. In the meantime, we've got the inside track on Nicole's hot new, on-screen look from the movie's hair stylist, Kerry Warn (who's also done Tom Cruise, Thandie Newton, Lilly Allen, Winona Ryder, Sharon Stone, Madeline Stowe , Emma Thompson, Annie Lennox, Jodie Foster, Andie McDowell and Kirsten Dunst's hair - phew!).
Kerry took ‘30s film starlet, Carol Lombard for his inspiration when creating Nicole's on-screen look and used a barrel and tongs to create that trademark ‘30s ‘Finger Wave'. He pinned the hair in place, left it to cool, then used his fingers to unravel and comb through the soft waves. A smidgen of John Freida's Luxurious Volume Thickening Texture Paste applied in the direction of the wave helps it set before you tuck the hair behind the ear and secure it with a flower clasp. Hey presto - film star hair in seconds!
