When it comes to on-the-go beauty, New York - where ladies lunch over 10-minute mini manicures - is always ahead of the game. Even so, some of the latest beauty trends to come out of the Big Apple have left us hoping they remain Stateside... First, news reached us about brow extensions (gluing tiny fibres on to the existing brow hair) and even brow wigs (yes, really!) to create this season's catwalk-perfect full brow. Then we heard about a Madison Avenue salon which offers an all-night service - just in case you need an emergency cut and highlights at, err...3am! So could the UK follow suit? Well, when we chatted to A-list hair guru Paul Labrecque - whose Upper East Side salon is frequented by Anne Hathaway, Hilary Swank, Mary-Kate Olsen and Trudie Styler - this week, he told us he loved the idea of a public transport blow-dry bar! Hmm, as much as we'd like to speed up our morning beauty routine, we think the tube is hot and stuffy enough without 20 mega-watt hairdryers puffing away as well...
