What's going on backstage at DSQUARED² right NOW

default

You might still be eating your breakfast but the fashion-pack are already on the go in Milan. Editors are beginning to make their way across town to the DSQUARED²  show wondering what they're about to see but we've sneaked backstage and exclusively reveal the inspiration behind the show - Charlie's Angels! A set resembling Charlie's office is being built front of house on the catwalk and back here the models' hair and make-up is being made angelic as we type. Val Garland for MAC described them earlier as 'Glamazonian Charlie's Angels' with a modern gilt glitz to them. The eyes have three types of metallic powder patted on and lashings of mascara so they have a false lash feel. The skin is fresh and real and instead of bronzer the models are having gold highlighter placed at the tops of their cheeks. Eight different MAC crème blushers are being used to 'colour, sculpt and highlight' the cheeks in a apricot, flesh colour to give that '70's diagonal cheek look. As for the lips, they're 'posh spice glossy' with an orange sheer gloss. As Val puts it bluntly (well you have to be amidst the madness back here), 'it's the kind of make up rich bitches wear!' Meanwhile wonder hair guru Sam McKnight for Pantene is busy creating '70's commercial hair' with a middle parting slightly flatter on top and hair tonged and brushed out into a soft, strong wave. 'It's a definite hair do,' he told us while working on Jourdan Dunn. ‘She's very done. It's brilliant for us because we have the girls first this morning so their hair is clean and conditioned with no product.' Sam's tool tip to get the look? His Pantene Maximum Hold Hair Spray - perfect for holding the curls in. We just might slip some into our bag before we go front of stage to watch the show!
