UPDATE: Victoria's hairdresser explains her new 'Crob'!

default

As soon as we saw Victoria Beckham unveil her new ‘Crob' cut at the Marc Jacobs show last night we knew we had to find out who'd done the chop - and why! So we tracked down her New York hairdresser, one-word maestro Garren. ‘When I spoke to Victoria, I was smitten by all the energy she has,' he told Grazia this morning. ‘How I imagined her being was quite different from when we met face to face. With her incredible face shape and beautiful eyes, it was clear - the hair had to go. Think gamine. Jean Seberg, Mia Farrow or Audrey Hepburn. And then I thought of all the continuing changes the models went through in the 90's such as Linda, Amber and Kristen McMenamy. I knew I had to cut it off, free herself from her previous hair "style" and create her own new look all the while embracing her beauty, great personality and body.' Perhaps her new look is no surprise though considering Garren worked with the late Audrey Hepburn - as well as Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Scarlett Johansson plus designers Prada, Versace and Marc Jacobs.

Victoria appeared a little self-conscious as she fiddled with her new cut but was rocking what looked like one of her own dresses. Victoria is in New York to show her new line of 10 dresses to fashion editors. She and Marc have remained close since she starred in his ad campaign last year. We're working on finding out who chopped her hair and why she felt like she needed a change but we knew we had to bring you these pictures as soon as they landed on our desks. What do you think of Victoria's new look? More soon...

  • no no don't like it! & i thought katie holmes had gone a bit short as i loved her bob/pob (whatever its called...) but this just looks like a pensioner's perm. i hope her skin stays clear for her as usually she uses her hair to cover any breakouts....

  • Her best look yet. Halle Berry should cut her hair again. It brought out her dainty features and made her beauty striking. Posh looks super chic now!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really want to like it, but it's just not doing it for me. I think it makes her look older than she is. I love the new dresses that she's designed though!

  • I love it! Elfin, chic, gamine and flattering...and a world away from the WAG-esgue highlights and extensions.

  • Been there! Done it! 10 years ago. Then again 2 years ago. Halle Berry did it. Nothing new!! Suits her though. She looks so much better. Definitely not a long-hair girl!!

  • She looks great , this definitely suits her much more than all her other looks. However, I don't see it as innovative as it is clearly just another version of the Halle Berry crop! BTW, Halle also needs to go back to this look ..her beautiful face does not need all that hair she has been sporting recently!
