How Thandie got her red carpet make-up look

default

As soon as we saw Thandie Newton saunter down the red carpet in her Jasmine De Milo dress at the RocknRolla premiere last night, we knew we had to find out how she did that subtle but glam make-up. So we gave her favourite make-up artist and one of Grazia's best beauty friends Kay Montano a call. Here's what she said: 'It's a modern take on sultry, the splash of metallic on the eyes was inspired by her gorgeous Jasmine De Milo dress and Lara Bohnic earrings,' Kay said. 'Thandie's always up for experimenting and trying something new but this time we only had an hour and half  for hair and make-up so it had to be simple but high impact.' Yikes. So here's the lowdown, product-wise.

Glowing Skin: 'I always perfect her skin with a Becca Stick Foundation in Cappuccino and a flash of Clinique Airbrush in Medium to brighten eyes.'

Metallic Smoky Eyes: ' I painted on a silver liquid shadow as eyeliner then smudged it slightly, blended a touch of Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Smoky Eyes under the lower lashes and defined her lashes with the new Chanel Exceptionnell Mascara in Black.'

Nude Lips: 'Thandie prefers a stain to a full lipstick look so I applied a light taupe shade of lipstick with my fingers to add a little colour without looking too done. I'm using Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Romantic right now on Thandie.' Thanks Kay! We're off to stock up...
