Style Hunter Blog: Pointy toes + 501s.

In today's lovely Emma Watson-ed Grazia (it IS past 9am, you should've had your fix by now) you will have noticed our fashion team's pledge to the pointy toe. It's THE shoe shape for now. In fact, it's set to be an essential part of our wardrobes for at least the next six months, dammit, so we're diving in pointy toe first. You can see our edit of the best 30 perfect points in the mag’s special feature – that should get you started…!

Unlike many other footwear options out there, the power point is elegant whether flat or heeled - and whilst a vertiginous and sharpened-toe court may seem like a dauntingly 1980s power dressing staple to weave into a girl's modern wardrobe, you must fear not. Style Hunter is, of course, on the streets waiting to see how these new trends can be easily transported into reality of all of our everyday wardrobes. So whilst many a fashion editor pierced the couture FROW last week with their pumps worn with severe pencil skirts, cropped tailored trousers and silk dresses, there IS an even more casual way to dress down these powerful points. Cue 23 year old Sissy Best (yes, you do recognise her from TV prog, The Model Agency, as Junior Booker and daughter of Carol White) and her fave Lanvin leopard points. What better way to give these ladylike stilettos a laid-back look than with the world's most rebellious denim cut - Levis cult 501s. The turn-up is just so (pointy pumps can do a great deal of leg lengthening, but one must always at least have a slice of ankle on show) and a cropped COS tee and straw boater (bought in Zanzibar) are anything but boardroom.
