Linda Farrow's sought after sunnies

13 May 2011

I’m sure that you’ll have already pored over and pawed at the lovely sunglasses special in the fashion section of this week’s Grazia. Am I right? Yes? Well, it’s no wonder really, what with all of this glorious (if sporadic) sunshine and the undeniable urge it brings for a shiny new pair of sunglasses. My frames from last year (white Miu Miu cat eyes) are still hot to trot, but it’s difficult to resist a new purchase. So, off I popped to Linda Farrow HQ, creators of some of the most sought after sunnies, to get some inspiration. Because if anyone (apart from us, of course) will know the ins and outs of what to look out for (geddit?) then it’ll be this crew. I photographed the boys too, because, well, it was mean not to and we’re sure that you’re other halves would also appreciate a little eyewear guidance…

Tracy has three pairs of this snakeskin covered style from Linda Farrow Luxe S/S’10. And it’s no wonder, they’re ruddy brilliant (and just so happens that extreme feline frames are hot this season too).

Ben certainly makes a statement in these Caeser sunnies from Jeremy Scott by Linda Farrow. But who says boys can’t wear kooky shades? Gaga shouldn’t have ALL the fun.

Phoebe loves the simplicity of these No. 18 round sunnies from The Row – a perfect foil to those ditsy florals. The Olsens would be proud.

Simon’s sold on the bamboo finish of these Linda Farrows. Sometimes it’s all about the subtle details for your everyday shades.

Virginia’s black Jeremy Scott by Linda Farrow winged frames continue the mix and match of black fabrics and textures in her outfit.

Robbie told me these are his Sunday morning glasses. I’m guessing that means they’re good for hiding a hangover. FYI they’re called Luxe 101s for those of you who are planning a heavy weekend…
