Coleen Rooney, the people’s fashionista, recently debuted her new power brows; thick, black and meant for business. Whilst she may have come in for some stick from those who aren't in the know, I like Rooney’s new look.
She and I both know that next season is all about the FFB (the full, filled brow), hence the switch to brow bitch. Which earns her bonus beauty brownie points in my book.
Not to mention, there’s nothing more anti-ageing than a good brow-job. It’s better than Botox, lifting the entire face and framing the eyes. Just the other day I watched makeup guru, Sharon Dowsett, transform a model’s face with a quick brush and strategically placed brow shadow.
After doing a bit of digging, I discovered that eyebrow tattooing is the latest procedure in surgery land. Yup, Harley Street brow queen Tracie Giles (www.traciegiles.co.uk) has women queuing up for her new Power Brow treatment, trading Botox for Browtox.
Brow tattooing isn’t new, but until now if you went in for semi permanent makeup, you’re likely to leave with ‘Barbie brows’ (Katie Price case in point). But Giles’ technique is so natural looking; no one will know you you’ve been near a needle. Using mineral pigments and new digital technology, she creates uber natural brows in a 3-D effect, matching your own skin and hair tones perfectly.
Forget threading, I’m going to get me a brow job.
