I recently met Sienna Miller. I’d love to tell you she was ferocious, uppity, or not as fair as her pictures suggest. But alas, in the flesh she’s ‘gorge’ (that’s Kate Moss speak for gorgeous). And, bright, bubbly and sweet, too. No wonder Jude can’t stay away.
At the recent spate of fashion shows I was invited to spend a little one on one time with Sienna, her sister Savannah. Or ‘Sav’ as Miller calls her and their makeup guru Pat McGrath.
Since Max Factor were sponsoring their autumn winter collection, and providing said makeup guru, McGrath, to make up the models, I got a sneak peek at a new natural makeup line hitting stores in October – used to create the edgy effortless makeup look for 2812.
Xperience, is a new natural make-up line of tinted glossy balms and weightless foundations created to give one ‘perfect skin and fresh natural looking lips in a hurry,’ explains McGrath, who helped formulate the range. And as both Sienna and ‘Sav’ were sporting the pre samples looking impeccably dewy and glowy, I’m pretty eager to get my hands on it when it hits counters later this year. ‘It’s for women who don’t like wearing a lot of make-up – like us. But still want to look fresh with an edge,’ Miller tells me.
Backstage makeup scoop aside, I did manage to squeeze out a bit of fashion & beauty gossip from the design duo. Whilst, Sienna claims not to be fussy about her fitness and beauty routine, ‘ I cleanse, tone and moisturise,’ she said (yawn). She did admit to some of her new season crushes. ‘I’m loving Lame and velvet at the moment,’ she said. ‘ And I’m obsessed with statement earrings and scarves right now - they can bring your whole look together. And it’s a clever way to stand out and look individual,’
As for exercise (she’s tiny but toned and feminine looking in the flesh) she occasionally does Yoga and has just hired a personal trainer. ‘I’m not as firm as I once was,’ she admitted.
Her new season make-up obsession? ‘Red lipstick. ‘I’ve just found the perfect red after years of looking – Chanel Allure Lipstick in Fatale 71,’ confesses Miller, who’s inching away from her Boho look towards a slightly more grown up vibe. Yet, says she can’t give up the bronzer just yet.
Well, you know what they say; you can take a British girl out of her coin belt, but you can’t make her put away her bronzing powder.
