Our type of waiting room snacks!
All pampering treatments have gone out the window, we’re on countdown mode ladies and EVERY second counts. With this theory in mind, I’ve signed myself up for an intensive course of facials at the Waterhouse Young clinic which opened in April and is run by aesthetics experts Norman Waterhouse and Richard Young. With their 35 years’ experience, they’ve created a bride-to-be’s dream beauty destination and SOS skin haven. Along with the highly skilled nurses, Waterhouse Young can create a bespoke skin care regime and treatment programme to make sure your wedding photos won’t need the photoshop tool! After a (terrifying) analysis of your skin, using the state-of-the-art VISIA machine, aesthetic expert and bride heroine Dr Mica Engle is able to identify the areas that need the most attention. The machine highlights the condition of the skin and measures the evenness, any earlier signs of wrinkles and warnings of sun damage that need addressing. All pretty frightening stuff but it gives Dr Mica the tools to create a bespoke skin care system to get you ready for the big day.
The Hi-Tech Visia Machine
So after an eye appointment with the VISIA machine, Dr Mica broke the skin news. It needs some work but Dr Mica assured, there’s enough time to transform my face before 4th August! PHEW! With a course of intensive weekly HyrdraFacials, the latest in non-laser skin resurfacing, it’ll extract, hydrate and pump antioxidants into my skin to protect it from all the aggressors that have caused the damage as well as rectifying the damage done , and with a bit of glycolic, my pigmentation and pores will be no more!. Basically, the HydraFacial is a one stop shop for glowing skin and the perfect canvas for bridal make up along with a course of no nonsense SkinCeuticals skincare. So we’re one facial down, with a few more to go. Stayed tuned as I reports back with the results come the 4th August, but the true test will of course be THE PHOTOS!!
