Who knew Kate and William would be allowed to do anything this normal? Following the lunchtime reception for their wedding, Kate Middleton and Prince William took a drive from Buckingham Palace to Clarence House in Prince Charles' 1969 Aston Martin convertible. Complete with 'W' and 'K' balloons and a 'Ju5t Wed' numberplate!
With a red white and blue ribbon to the front, the couple surprised the hardy folk who had been waiting on the Mall for, ooh, about seven days by taking to the road in a very low-key fashion. Low-key, save for the fact that they were shadowed by an ever-so-slightly-menacing blacked out Range Rover containing their security people, they were also followed overhead by a yellow search and rescue helicopter, flown by William's own squadron.
The car was given to Prince Charles as a 21st Birthday present, and he had it converted in 2008 so that it runs on biofuel made from English wine wastage.
