Who'll Perform At The Royal Wedding Reception?

Choosing the right music for a wedding reception is a seriously difficult business – trying to select something that Grandma will dance to as well as you brother being a virtual impossibility for most families. When those two characters are played by The Queen and Prince Harry, we imagine the problem is doubly complicated - and so we cast our eyes towards the lovely Kate Middleton, poring over her CD collection at home in Berkshire, wondering if she might be able to persuade STEPS to reform for the knees up after her wedding this April.

Well, kind of - in fact, Kate and William’s choice of wedding music is the latest subject of the wedding rumour mill (a rumour mill which Grazia Daily takes no small amount of pride in turning, FYI). First, there were those suggestions that Abba, yes THE Abba, were thinking of reforming for a one-off gig which may or may not be Kate and Wills’ wedding, a plan which initially made Grazia Daily giddy with happiness, before we were struck by the thought that hiring a band for your wedding that comprises two divorced couples might not be the best omen for the start of married life.

Aaanyhoo - it has NOW been revealed that plum-haired Dad rocker Sir Paul McCartney is set to perform at the biggest gig in town, with Heather Mills a source close to Sir Paul revealing that ‘Paul McCartney is their number one choice to perform’ on the big day, adding that Kate and William ‘can't think of anyone more perfect to kick off proceedings’.

So what say you about Kate’s rumoured musical choices for the wedding of the decade? Is Miss Middleton spot on, or is she misguidedly recreating a dream playlist for 50th Birthday parties across the globe? And who would you book for the big day? Suggestions below please!
