Having given birth to the future King of England yesterday, aka: the yet to be named one day old Prince Cambridge, Kate Middleton is surely going to be needing a little bit of support in the coming weeks. Step forward her Mum’s club, an exclusive network of Royally connected young mothers all there on call to lend a helping hand / some advice / maybe a glass of vino should they so wish. So who is in this illusive club? Read on…
1. Rose van Cutsem
Rose is the wife of William’s good friend Hugh, they have three children together and a wealth of experience to share with the new parents. You may remember their adorable daughter Grace as William and Kate’s bridesmaid, she held her hands over her ears on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as the crowds cheered for the newlyweds in 2011.
2. Trini Foyle
An old school friend of Kate’s from her Malborough days Trini has often been seen walking with the Duchess outside Kensington Palace. Trini and her husband Ted have an 18-month-old son named Alexander (here’s hoping Kate and Will don’t steal that for their own son) and it’s thought the two will play together as they grow up.
3. Rosie Meade
Rosie and her husband Harry are very close friends of William and Kate, even going on a ski-ing holiday together earlier this year. Kate was photographed paying a lot of attention to their darling daughter Lily who is 18-months old.
4. Bella Waley-Cohen
New parents just like William and Kate Bella Waley-Cohen and her husband Sam just recently had their first child, a son named Max who is just 3 months of age. It was long thought that Sam was the man who helped the Duke and Duchess get back together after their brief split in 2007. Aw.
5. Sophie Winkleman
Sophie – half sister to Claudia, no less – and wife of Lord Freddie Windsor is yet to give birth to her first child, it is due in August. However, it is thought that once the child is born she will become a close ally of Kate.
