We’re officially on Royal Baby countdown and like many mothers-to-be, we’re sure Kate has her hospital bag ready but forget the baby essentials, if Kate’s anything like the groomed Duchess we’ve witnessed in her time in the limelight, then they’ll be a well edited beauty bag packed, ready for that post-birth snap.
With a new wave of mothers-to-be opening up about their during birth beauty grooming, we’re wondering if Kate will follow suit. From spray tans the day before to having a favourite lipgloss on hand, we’re sure the Duchess will ensure that she looks nothing but glowing during and post the birth.
In the lead up to the big day, will Kate be having her hair coloured (vegetable dye of course) and blow-dried at her favourite Chelsea salon, Richard Ward, in preparation before the birth. Meaning that her cut and colour will be fresh before the baby arrives with no need to revisit for a while? Possibly, but it's her in-patient beauty that we're currently obsessing over, so, here are teh beauty products we think Kate will be packing.....
Will these make the edit?
1. Baby + Bump
We’re sure that Kate has been slathering on various lotions and potions to the Royal bump since she discovered she was pregnant so no doubt she’ll continue the routine. Angelique ‘s Massage Balm, £9.79 is so gentle it can be used on both mother and baby and is already a cult baby products amongst A-Listers.
There’s no doubt that Kate will take along her favourite skincare products too. After the birth, she might treat herself to Deborah Mitchell’s Heaven Bee Venom Mask, £73 since she is her favourite facialist and after labour, we’re sure Kate will long for a bit of pampering. Following on from her mask, Kate might apply one of her favourite creams, Karin Herzog Oxygen Face Cream, £36, perfect post birth as it’ll tone and deep cleanse, leaving a flawless complexion.
3. The Make-Up
It’s unlikely that there won’t be an official baby picture and we’re hoping it’ll be post birth, with Kate, Wills and the new Royal babe, maybe even shot by Mario Testino! With this in mind, perhaps Kate will pack her must-have, essential make-up products. If she’s in need of a little complexion help, Kate’s favourite Oil-Free tinted moisturiser by Laura Mercier, £33 is bound to make the cut. We’re sure her favourite concealer, YSL Touche Eclat, £25 will be on hand to cover any post birth tiredness while her signature blusher and eye make-up will probably make the edit too. Bobbi Brown’s Pale Pink Blush, £18 will add even more of a Kate glow. But will she wear her infamous eye makeup? If so, Kate will make sure her Lancome Hypnose Mascara, £21 and black kohl pencil are in the bag.
4. A tan?
We’ve heard Kate is a fan of Xen-Tan spray tans so will she be tanning pre-labour? The latest craze to hit labour wards, Kate might be taking a can of Xen-Tan Perfect Blend, £34.99 into her private delivery suite.
