CUTE! Prince George Poses With A Butterfly In New Pictures Released For First Birthday

Can you believe it was a year ago today that all eyes were on the Lindo wing? Today our favourite royal, Prince George, turns the grand old age of one and to mark the occassion the palace have released some more pictures of the little prince for us to coo over. These snaps are even better than those George x bilby pictures at Sydney Zoo - this time he makes friends with a butterfly.

In the images Wills, Kate and George play with the butterflies in the ‘Sensational Butterflies’ exhibition at the Natural History Museum, in London. George is wearing one of his favourite outfits for his big day out - the blue and white stripped Petit Bateau dungarees and a navy top by French label Petit Bateau.

No butterfly print for the Duchess of Cambridge? K Middy wore a green floral tea dress by designer Suzannah, which can be yours for £475. Kate wore this frock on the royal tour in New Zealand under her green Erdem coat and to the start of the Tour de France last month.

The royal couple also issued a statement to thank the public for the George love. They said: ‘We would like to take this opportunity on George’s first birthday to thank everyone over the last year, wherever we have met them, both at home and overseas, for their warm and generous good wishes to George and our family.'

Sir Michael Dixon, Director of the Natural History Museum said of his royal visitors: ‘It was a real pleasure to host our Patron and her family earlier this month. They seemed to enjoy their visit, wandering through the tropical plants as brightly coloured butterflies took flight around them. It was delightful to see Prince George’s first experience of the Natural History Museum and I look forward to welcoming them again in the future.’
