5 Things To Do In Norfolk If Kate Middleton, Prince William & Baby George Move To Anmer Hall

Hold the phones! A Prince George update has just landed at Grazia HQ...

5 Things To Do In Norfolk If Kate Middleton, Prince William & Baby George Move To Anmer Hall

Rumour has it that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are making preparations to move to a rural retreat following the birth of their baby son last week. According to reports, the young family are planning to move into Anmer Hall in Norfolk, a huge 10 bedroom house in the middle of the picturesque countryside. Anmer Hall, which stands on the Sandringham estate, was a super-generous gift from the Queen who gave it to William and Kate earlier this year. Just in case that spacious home in Kensington Palace wasn't room enough...

The pair have already applied for planning permission to make a number of improvements to the property, which appaz has now been granted. Will it be a ginormous jacuzzi perhaps? Or an in-door cinema? We can totally see the little family cosying up for a weekly viewing of The Lion King.

But what else will the Cambridges be getting up to if they do make the move to Norfolk? Admittedly, it's not the most glamorous area in the UK but it was allegedly good enough for Mila and Ashton. And did you know supermodel Claudia Schiffer spent two months in the Norfolk town of King's Lynn as a young girl? What's more, actress Amanda Holden has described it as 'one of the best places in the world' and it was the birth place of Alan Partridge. What more endorsement do you need?

The area also boasts the Norfolk Broads where families can enjoy boating days, culture outings, extreme activities, shopping experiences and sports days - presumably not at the same time. Or the trio could simply go walking and biking in the serene countryside and perfect their Country Bumpkin credentials.

Here's some other helpful suggestions for Norfolk things to do when you're avec baby...

What To Do In Norfolk

1. Go on a Broads Tour

Broads Tours operates a fleet of double-decker passenger boats on the magical waterland. All tours include a live commentary. Result!

2. Visit Great Yarmouth Racecourse

We all know K-Middy has racecourse dressing down to a fine art and here's the perfect opportunity for her to recycle one of her legendary fascinators.

3. Have A Pint With The A-List (Mums)

Actress Naomi Watts flirts between New York and North Norfolk where her mother has an interior design business called House Bait. It would provide the perfect opportunity for Wills to give the Diana film his blessing, no? As if that wasn't Hollywood-tastic enough, Hugh Jackman's mum also lives in Norfolk! In fact, his favourite pub is The Kings in Norwich. How we'd love to have a pint with Kate and Wills!

4. Don't Go Naked On Holkham Beach

This was the beach made famous by Shakespeare in Love - remember that final scene in the film when Gwyneth Paltrow swooshes along the sand in her Elizabethan finery? Well, it was once the proud owner of a naturist section - until it closed because of too much public sexing. Oh dear. So although Kate is now a pro at handling a topless scandal, all naturists are now banned from the beach as of this month.

5. If All Else Fails, Do Some Birding

Okay, so a crying baby might not be the ideal accessory when you're watching wildlife, but this is the perfect opportunity for little George to perfect his stiff upper lip.
