Inside The Summer Garden Live: We Talk To Arlissa And Jamie N Commons About Working With Emporio Armani

Even though it's far too hot to do anything except sit totally naked in front of our open fridge, we made a welcome exception for last night's Emporio Armani Summer Garden Live party. Held at their New Bond Street store, the evening featured performances by Arlissa, Jamie N Commons and Aluna George.

Singer Arlissa was super happy with her Armani dress and told us, "I think my style is quite classic but fresh and that's something that Emporio Armani maintain, they've got the traditional quality and style in their designs, but manage to keep it current." We also took the chance to ask about her ultimate fashion fantasy. "It would be having a walk in wardrobe that I could sit in and just bask". Sounds good to us! Also struggling with the heat was singer Jamie N Commons who serenaded the crowd with his rocker tones. "I love Armani Jeans," he told us. "I don't do shorts so I'm wearing them all the way through this heatwave!" You're a braver man than us, Jamie.

MTV presenter Laura Whitmore introduced the acts looking much fresher than we felt in a metallic skirt with a cream silk blouse as she took the stage in the store's outdoor area which was decked out like a secret garden, while the crowd sipped on refreshing pink cocktails that managed to distract from the pulsing heat trying to sneak in from the outside.

We also spied actress Lily James - set to cause all sorts of trouble on Downton Abbey next season - blogger Bip Ling who brought along her identikit sister Evangeline and DJ Zara Martin all taking measured respites inside to make the most of the air conditioning.

The evening finished with AlunaGeorge's brilliant set, which saw them perform their smash hit You Know You Like It. And before we knew it, the evening was over and we made our way regretfully back outside onto the sweltering street, glad for a the glamourous few hours of heatwave relief we'd just had.
