Party Beat: Ellie Goulding Performs At The Samsung Galaxy Gear And Note 3 Launch

With views over Somerset House and comfortable sofas galore Samsung could not have picked a better venue than London’s Radio Rooftop Bar to launch the new Galaxy Gear and Note 3 last night. And with guests such as Donna Air, Dionne Bromfield and Nicola Roberts they made sure it was the party everyone wanted to be at.

After checking out the new products – we’re in love with the rose gold gear fyi – we managed to have a quick catch up with Iggy Azalea. Iggy who just a couple of months ago was announced as Beyonce’s support act for her Australian tour which kicks off in a few weeks told us that next year she hopes to have one of her own, ‘In a year’s time I’d love to be able to have my own UK headline tour,’ she said.

The super fit singer, who is famed as much for her music as her killer curves, also told us that she thinks that it’s important for women to celebrate their bodies. ‘I think you should be proud to show off what you have worked hard for. Women get put down for showing a bit of skin but if you put the work in you should be able to show it off.’ Iggy went on to explain, ‘I do a lot of cardio and being on stage is a work out in itself. I’m also really into tennis, I’m pretty good at it.’

Later we caught up with Les Mis star Samantha Barks who is currently splitting her time between the UK and Ireland whilst filming Dracula. Samantha, who has become a regular face on many a FROW told us that when it comes to designers VB is one of her favourites, ‘I love Victoria Beckham, I always look out for what she does every season, I love how her clothes and so chic and flattering on women,’ she went on to add, ‘Of course I was a massive Spice Girls fan, girl power!’ Here, here!

As the evening wore on Ellie Goulding took to the stage to perform an amazing set before Daisy Lowe took over the DJ booth blasting out classics such as Come On Eileen. Brilliant. Just as we were leaving we spotted Jonathan Ross and Vernon Kay cooped up together on a sofa comparing notes about the new phone over a couple of beers. Boys and their toys eh?!

What we ate: Beef wellington and mini fish and chips

What we drank: Perrier-Jouët Champagne
