What fun we had at the recent launch of The Vinyl Collection at Wyl, W London – Leicester Square. With Annie Mac, Example and Eliza Doolittle. Whilst Annie took to the decks for a two hour set, guests gulped down cocktails and engaged in rather a lot of dancing – us included, obvs.
Caroline Flack – who was dressed in a super cool oversized green jacket - used the evening to show off her new boyfriend music manager Jack Street. The couple have been dating for a few months now after being spotted together at Glastonbury and Wireless.
Caroline recently spoke out about the difficulties she had found with fame admitting that it took her a long time to stop caring what people said about her. ‘I’m not so self-conscious about what I do or how I look. Before I was like: ‘Ooh, what will people think if I do this?’ And now I’m much more: ‘Why do I care what they think?.’ Quite right.
As the night wore on guests headed into a photo booth where they could recreate their favourite album covers. We loved that Lily Allen delved straight into the props box coming up with a giant medallion and a pair of teeny boppers.
By far our favourite part of the evening though was that there were all sorts of Annie Mac themed canapés including Annie Mac & Cheese, Annie Little Mac Burgers and Annie Macaroons. See what they did there? Mixing her name into the names of popular dishes, clever that!
What we drank: Belvedere passionfruit martinis… Yum!
Annie Mac's new compilation - AMP 2013 - is out now.
