The Brit Awards 2013 Parties With Taylor Swift, Kate Hudson, Harry Styles and Rita Ora

25 February 2013 by

There are a few sore heads in Grazia towers today. Why’s that, you say? Well, after the Brit awards last night, it seemed only right and proper to help the winners, nominees and other hangers-on to celebrate at the after-parties. Yes, plural. As tradition dictates, each of the major record labels hosted a lavish bash for their artists and just like Harry Styles, we tried to go to as many of them as we could.

But before all that, what better way to get to the Brit awards than by taking a lovely boat ride down the Thames? Thanks to Shopbop.com after navigating the very windy pier we jumped aboard the gorgeous M.V.Edwardian at Butler’s Wharf and set sail for the O2 arena. With Fiol prosecco and amazing food, including apricots stuffed with gorgonzola and prosciutto risotto it could not have been a better journey.  Amber Le Bon and Bip Ling both came along for the ride and were seen happily walking around, even when the trip got a little rocky. You’ve got better sea legs than us ladies!

Universal

Blimey that Taylor Swift never stops does she? After absolutely killing it at the awards with her performance of I Knew You Were Trouble Taylor headed over to the Universal Party hosted by Soho House and Bacardi where she and James Cordon DJ’d for everyone. A-MAZING. We spotted her finally letting her hair down later in the evening dancing wildly on the dance floor where she got so carried away, she lost a shoe. Also in attendance were oh-so-sweet couple Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford who spent a lot of their time hanging out with Ellie Goulding and her new boyf Jeremy Irvine – is like the coolest double date or what?!

EMI and War Child

After the show, it was back to the boat, this time the Silver Sturgeon as we hit the EMI and War Child party with our friends at Spotify. In the absence of his best pal Chris Martin, Damon Albarn celebrated Coldplay’s Best Live Act award for him, while Emeli Sande arrived to a rapturous applause from guests after winning Best Female and Best Album. Meanwhile Tinie Tempah spent the night chatting to Conor Maynard… do we spot a collaboration in the making?

Sony

Over at the Sony party at The Arts Club in Mayfair it was all about King Cowell or Simon as he is more commonly known. Arriving early our favourite music mogul sat himself comfortably upstairs as the other guests began to trickle through, holding court all night. From Lily Rose Cooper and her husband Sam to Mark Ronson the Belvedere Vodka sponsored party played host to some of music’s biggest names. We stopped One Direction’s Harry Styles on his way through the party to ask him about his ex-girlfriend Taylor’s performance, ‘It was great,’ he said adding, ‘I didn’t feel any pressure with both of us being there.’ Good for you Harry, we’d been worrying about it all week!

Warner

Cocktails were in full flow at the Warner party sponsored by Samsung where guests were treated to a performance from the band Fun. Rafe Spall didn’t seem too keen to hang around at the Savoy hotel staying for just five minutes before we bumped into Kate Hudson cosied up to her fiancé and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. She told us that she’s super excited about Stella McCartney’s show at Paris Fashion Week although she’s not sure yet whether she’ll be able to make it along. Mark Ronson was DJ for the evening and late revellers were treated to an appearance from Harry Styles who arrived at 2am with a girl on each arm.

Roc Nation

And where else but Hakkasan for uber cool label Roc Nation to host their post Brit’s party? We don’t know, so it’s lucky it was held there. After a DJ set from Calvin Harris, celebrity types like Nick Grimshaw, Alexa Chung and Will.I.Am all crowded into the VIP area to sip on their cocktails and dance the night away. Rita Ora popped in with her new BFF Iggy Azaelia (what will Cara say eh?). Sadly, despite the fact that EVERYONE thought they were going to make an appearance Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z failed to Roc up (get it?!) to the party. There’s always next year boys…
