Samsung David Bailey Auction With Kate Moss, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie

15 May 2013 by

Last night we popped along to the resplendent Bulgari Hotel for an exclusive David Bailey auction in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.  The event featured four original works but the famed photographer himself and 10 pieces by new photographers also all named David Bailey – how these people were found we have no idea!

Kate Moss made possibly the world’s quickest appearance popping in for just 7 minutes after spending the day shooting with David, she posed for photographs with him and event organiser Heather Kerzner before heading off. Well, she is a pretty busy woman. Later, proceedings took a rather Royal turn when Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie all arrived. The regal threesome spent the evening chatting amongst themselves enjoying a glass or two of champagne.

Also there was Graham Norton who won one of the amazing photographs. In total the auction raised £64,200 and included a never before seen photograph of La Moss that was taken in 1996 – this was the only photograph not taken on the Samsung NX300 Smart Camera. We also spotted Topshop boss Philip Green who spent the evening chatting with his friends – all in all a highly successful evening we say!

What we ate: Focaccia with tomato, olive and artichoke

What we drank: Bulgari Spring Punch and Moet & Chandon Champagne
