There is nothing we like more than a party in a giant shoebox. Which is exactly what we got last night when we headed down to the Truman Brewary at Brick Lane for the relaunch of Adidas Originals classic Stan Smith trainer. Plonked down right in the heart of east London, the purpose built pop-up was bigger than our own homes.
Inside guests of the event were invited to 'Stan themselves,' making their own version of the iconic Stan Smith label. For those of you not au fait with the man himself, Stan is a former no.1 American tennis player. Sadly he wasn't there himself last night but a few famous faces were.
From Leah Weller and her brother Natt - Leah was wearing a crop top, a brave move given that it's still pretty chilly out there. To Wretch 32 - who joked that he was there in a pair of Nike trainers (controversial) - who seemed to be pretty keen to try on the Stan Smiths himself.Whilst magician Dynamo was spotted waving his arms about posing for photographs in front of the box - each to their own.
Idris Elba - who one guest was overheard calling Idmis Melba, lol - was definitely the man of the evening. The poor chap couldn't move for people wanting to have their picture taken with him. Idris, who is the star of the new Nelson Mandele biopic, posed happily for hours on end with a massive stream of people - what a gent!
If you want to check out the giant shoebox yourself it's open from today until the 19th of January. To check out the shoes online head to the Adidas website.
