Last night we popped down to Louis Vuitton’s New Bond Street store to celebrate the launch of their new curated shelf. Joined by Jamie Hince, Erin O’Connor, Daisy Lowe and Meg Matthews it was a busy evening as everyone crammed into the beautiful book store.
The curated shelf held 100 cameras, encased in beautiful boxes designed by Kim Jones and the Chapman brothers, Jake and Dinos. The contents of the cameras was recorded by the Chapman’s over a period of three months and it is down to the lucky purchasers as to whether they want to get them developed or not.
When the party moved upstairs to the fabulous Vuitton apartment we were treated to a walking dinner of salmon and wonderfully cooked steak. We caught up with the lovely Jaime Winstone who was wearing, ‘Louis of course!’ she told us, ‘I’m looking forward to seeing Pamm Hogg and Giles [Deacon] at fashion week. It’s all a bit mental at the moment because I’m doing a reiki course which is taking up a lot of my time.’
Later in the evening we spotted Daisy heading for the dance floor with a group of friends, whilst Henry Holland was seen chatting animatedly to Jamie Hince. Also there was Jodie Kidd, the model – who turned to TV work in the mid 2000s will soon be making a return to the catwalk.
Jodie said recently, ‘I've decided to model again. I can't believe it has been so long, but I see all my girlfriends working and I realised I missed it. I don't know if I can remember how to walk in heels - I'm just not used to wearing them... if I trip it's like falling off a horse: the number one rule is always to get back up and laugh.’
What we ate: Smoked salmon with beetroot and a horseradish cream
What we drank: Champagne
