Summer is finally hereee!! Ok, we lie, but it has at least stopped raining which was great news last night as Katie Grand hosted the Hogan x Net-A-Porter party at The Filling Station in Kings Cross with drinks in the open air next to the canal. It was an amazing setting for a pretty amazing party…
We spoke to Katie who told us, 'Working with Hogan has been a very jolly experience. I was really happy to have this party in London because the party at Milan fashion week was really pressured – with lots of interviews and I don’t love talking about myself!,' she went on to say, 'I wanted something really casual. Initially we were going to go for pizza and margaritas, but we’ve settled for BBQ. I love it because its casual – we’ve even got a dog here!.'
Indeed the barbecue was on full blast serving guests such as Giles Deacon, Markus Lupfer, Mary Charteris and Robbie Furze some tasty treats. From grilled prawns to seabass ceviche on plantain we were all about the menu. Markus - who loved that the bar served Prosecco on tap - told us, 'I love the venue here, it's been a really good evening.'
As the night wore on and the drinks – the Habanero Margarita seemed very popular - kept flowing party goers took to the floor, dancing to some retro hits, hello Bobby Brown’s ‘Two Can Play That Game’ and of course everyone’s favourite new party song ‘Get Lucky.’ Lily Rose Cooper and her husband Sam seemed to be enjoying a night off from looking after their two young daughters Ethel and Marnie, chatting with friends before throwing some shapes themselves.
Over in the corner there was a photobooth with TV presenter Angela Scanlon, Atlanta de Cadenet and Bip Ling all going over to have their pictures taken. Well, who doesn’t love a photobooth, really? As guests left we spotted people trying to run off with the zebra print heart shaped cusions, tee hee!
