Diesel Celebrate Their Collaboration With Edun With Zoe's Ghana Kitchen Pop-Up Dinner

Zoe Adjonah’s Chop Bar

The Grazia fashion team, bloggers and MIC’s Rosie Fortescue headed off to the Diesel store on Regent Street where the first floor was transformed into a tropical haven – including cocktail hut and a tent for a live band, all to celebrate the Diesel + Eden collaboration. Diesel together with Ali Hewson and Bono have travelled to Uganda and Mali and come back to launch Diesel + Edun – a collection created to raise awareness of the creative resources and talent in Africa as well as to build sustainable trade with the continent through fashion. The clothes themselves are made from raw, untreated denim, and were inspired by the four-pocket jean made popular in the 1970s on the streets of South Africa and feature Zulu weaving patterns, and Kenyan metalwork.

On the night we enjoyed the awesome Zoe Adjonah’s Chop Bar serving delicious Ghanaian cuisine – she was fresh from her hugely successful pop up Ghana Kitchen in Hackney Wick, while we were serenaded by French beaut Jessica.

Lakwena Maciver (Fri Apr 05 15:00:15 BST 2013): Thanks for the photos! I wasn't able to make it on the night, but designed and painted the signs you can see hung up around - CHOP BAR with the picture of the lady making pounded yam, and the sign reading ENJOY FUFU WITH GOAT. They really worked in the space so thanks so much for snapping, and glad you enjoyed the night! Lakwena www.lakwena.com
