Some of you may have noticed that I’ve been absent from my beloved blog recently (sorree!). I’ve been travelling to the different fashion week cities, running around backstage reporting on the next summer’s hair and beauty trends (if you haven't already seen the videos of my shenanigans, click here for a catch up). But of course, Grazia Daily Nail was on my mind so I the nail happenings didn't escape my eye. From New York to London to Milan (and I’m off to Paris tomorrow!), there’s been some amazing highlights along the way that I just had to share with you. Here are my top three manicure moments...
It was 70'S fever at the Topshop Unique show and like mini mirror balls on their fingertips, the model’s nails were encrusted with pink and orange rhinestones carefully crafted by Sophy Robson and her crack team of nail techs. Take a closer look here.
Matte is back
It was at Wang that we saw the start of mannequin manicure mania last season so it’s no surprise that I’m already lusting after the latest ‘Wang nail’. It was a frosted glass effect with two drops of Butter London matte topcoat mixed into a clear topcoat. Simple, chic, just so Wang.
Fade to Grey
At Antonio Berardi, nail supremo Marian Newman created a bespoke shade that she named ‘low degrey’. Mixing 3 drops of Revlon’s topcoat with a quarter of a bottle of Revlon’s Grey polish, Marian described it as a ‘wisp of grey, as if the girls are a bit cold after getting out of water’. Ooo eee!
