While Lauren's away, we've turned to Michèle to keep us updated on the world of Nails. Michèle is the blogger behind Lacquerized and as a reformed nail biter, she's now obsessed with polish and owns a huge selection of shades, which she loves to experiment with - as you'll soon see...
Looking for ways to spice up your matte nail polish? Well, adding glossy elements can really boost your matte manicure! Not a big fan of nail art? Don’t worry, because adding a bit of shine will create a subtle, yet very cool effect...

Cheeky Zebra
To get the first look, I took Konad Stamping plate M57 - with my regular Nubar Diamont top coat – and placed a fun zebra pattern on top of one of my favorite mattes ever: Matte is Murder by ManGlaze!

Stripe Away
For this second look, I used OPI’s La Paz-itively Hot (the matte version). After you dipped your special striper brush into your top coat, you’re ready to lay down some lines. I really like the simplicity of this look and you’ll be done in a heartbeat - I promise!
The options are endless: you can dress up your mattes by adding glossy tips, half moons, dots, you name it!
