Sarah Storey won gold today. Again. Whoop!

Only a few days remain for the Paralympics… and our athletes are determined to keep on winning!
One of the standout stars of the Paralympics has got to be Sarah Storey. The cyclist won her third gold medal of the Games this morning, which is the 10th gold of her career. She still has one more event to go, the road race tomorrow, for which she’s the favourite. If she manages to top the podium again she’ll become more successful than Baroness Tanni-Grey Thompson. And she’s still got at least another Paralympics to come if things go well.
This morning we chatted to her room-mate, fellow cycling medallist Helen Scott, who says the reason for her success is she simply loves the sport so much. Apparently even the men on the team hate training with her because they can’t possibly keep up!
Here’s keeping our fingers crossed for her tomorrow.
Away from the Paralympics, many of the Team GB Olympic athletes are nursing a sore head this morning after last night’s GQ awards.
Damien Lewis showed off his table tennis skills last night
We were chatting to Greg Rutherford this morning who had a blast at the event, but couldn’t indulge too much because he has to compete again on Friday. The life of an Olympian might seem glamorous just now, but they still have a job to do!
We hear from our insiders that the after-parties went on all night. Apparently Liam Gallagher and Bono were engaged deep in conversation for much of the night while Sashca Baron Cohen was taking on Damien Lewis at table tennis. It might not have been of Olympic or Paralympic standard, but we’re assured it was a good game all the same.
We also had the gorgeous Mark Foster in our studio this morning and got the lowdown on who’s set to star in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. Unfortunately he swore us to secrecy but you can make a safe guess that a few Olympians will be involved, and there’s one or two we think are going to blow the socks off the judges!
