Heading off to Glasto this weekend? If so, lucky you, although we reckon you’re currently in a right tizz over what to pack in your make-up bag, right? Well, look no further than the high-street, festi-goers, as Topshop have some incredible beauty treats that should definitely make the cut when it comes to your beauty booty…
Yesterday, we were lucky enough to catch up with the wonderful Hannah Murray, Topshop’s Make-up consultant, who taught us a thing or two about festival beauty, and the products she just can’t live without during festival season. Read on and learn, ladies!
1. Don’t be afraid of glitter
Not just for teenage girls, glitter is a total festival essential when worked well, and Hannah agrees: “Arm yourself with Topshop’s Glitter Eyes, £7, for a disco-ball worthy look! This is a great product as the cream base acts as a kind of adhesive and makes sure your glitter stays put all night. Try placing glitter on your cheekbones for a gorgeous cascading shimmer.”
"At last- a foolproof way to apply glitter precisely without it falling all over your face!"
2. Use a waterproof eyeliner
When stuck in a wet, muddy field all weekend, make-up with staying power is an absolute essential. Hannah swears by Topshop’s Waterproof Eyeliner in Gunpowder, £5: “This is so easy to use and gives instant effects. This is such a versatile product as it can be used as a normal liner, or for something a bit different, try sweeping all over the eye-lid and smudging with your finger- easy smoky eye guaranteed!”
3. A bold lip and creamy highlighter work wonders on a hungover complexion
Feeling a little bleary-eyed? Hannah believes a slick of colour across lips brightens even the most tired of complexions, and a sweep of Skin Glow in Spectrum, £10 is her secret to luminous skin, regardless of how many cans of cider you ended up consuming the night before…
4. It’s all about the texture
Beauty guru Hannah believes a winning festival look is all about texture- whether it be smoky, metallic, glitter or matte, the choice is yours!
