This year Grazia Daily's heading across the country (and overseas) to give you the inside scoop on what it's really like to attend the world's biggest music festivals. We'll be giving you the anecdotes and knowledge you need to a) decide whether to go next year and b) pretend you were there…
The Summer Series is a 10-day long festival of super swanky live music events held at uber-beautiful Somerset House (it's where lots of London Fashion Week is held, dontcha know). The party kicked into full swing last Thursday and Grazia Daily headed there for an evening earlier this week to soak in the atmosphere.
This year's line-up is jam-packed with pop faves. Chvrches, Sam Smith and Clean Bandit are all still to play before the festival ends on July 20. Grazia Daily headed to see Jess Glynne and Kelis - and both singers were amazing. Kelis had everyone dancing with her soulful performance, belting out classic tunes like 'Milkshake' as well as performing newer hits including 'Jerk Ribs'.
The after hours
Err.. call us lame, but it was a Monday so when the night ended at 10.30pm we got the bus home and headed to bed.
Somerset House is a dream. It's honestly one of the most beautiful outdoor gig venues in London. Plus, really convenient to get home from via tube, cab or bus (if you live in London).
The street style
A smart-casual meets glam festival feel. There were some office-wear meets New Balance combos lurking around. Plus lots of floral prints and bold colours.
'I guess 'Bossy' just isn't her vibe anymore…'
The food and drink
Anything other than Pimms would have been terribly inappropriate.
There was some below-par crowd etiquette going on. (Shout out the gals standing next to us who chatted loudly for †he entire duration of Kelis' set.)
Kelis's soul reworks of 'Milkshake' and 'Milkshake' as well as her ODB collab 'Baby I Got Your Money'. (We were totally grooving.) Also it was pretty great when our community editor Holly became the only person to have a solo selfie shown on the big screen. #social
