Woo! Glastonbury 2014's well-and-truly underway, with the likes of Arcade Fire, Lily Allen, Rudimental, Blondie, MIA and Haim playing at the festival TODAY. Wish you were there? Maybe. Wish you were there in the back-in-the-day? You will do after you check out these vintage festival snaps.
While we've so far been counting down to the event by looking back at Kate Moss's best outfits and discussing the most iconic beauty and style icons of the past few years *cough* Sienna Miller *cough* - if you rewind a few decades there are even more stylish and timeless looks on show.
So, for today's Flashback Friday, we've rounded up our favourite retro shots of long-running festivals like the Isle of Wight, Woodstock and Glastonbury. The snaps - taken in the '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s are some of our favourite festival pictures ever.
Forget awkwardly staged street style snaps, they show festival-goers running through foam-filled fields, crowd-surfing and a group of friends chilling out completely naked (except from the daisies in their hair, obvs). Plus, it's clear that the events have always attracted the most fashionable and beautiful people in the world. The pictures features girls in outfits that wouldn't look out of place at today's festivals (because we borrowed all our festival style staples from the past). There's aztec-print headbands, perfect grungey waves, mirrored shades, boho tops and fringing.
Also, as a final treat we've got cameos from Keith Richards, Jimi Hendrix and Jane Fonda. Yup, JANE FONDA.
