I’ve got the dress (finally! hurrah!) but turns out your wedding attire doesn’t stop when you’ve sorted that fashion nightmare – then it’s on to shoes, a clutch and jewels. I’m currently trying to decide between comfortable but chic gold Leja strappy sandals or going for height with classic Anouk courts. But whatever the outcome, I already know I’m going to wear Jimmy Choo’s because they are, without fail, the most comfortable heels I own. Turns out I’m not alone.
So many brides are getting married in Jimmy Choo heels, they are launching a social media initiative to encourage image sharing of the special day – called “I do in Choo”. Get it? “Brides would often send photos to us at Jimmy Choo, sharing memories from their wedding and I always love seeing our shoes and bags worn during a joyful moment of life,” says Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi. “#IdoinChoo is a way for us to unite our community of Jimmy Choo brides, and allow them to share their beautiful stories through imagery.”
And it’s working. Pictures are already flooding in of brides sharing their #IdoinChoo stories. “A touch of glamour at my country wedding” said @JohannaMcAllist alongside a picture of her bouquet. “3 weeks until Idoinchoo…” tweeted @ecwoolley of her to-die-for white flats.
