…and that makes me feel a bit weird. Let me clarify. It’s not because I don’t love, love, love my ring. I do, it’s vintage Victorian, I still think it’s most beautiful thing I’ve ever owned (all together, ahh) and let’s face it, what girl doesn’t like a piece of bling? But when this photo popped up on my newsfeed it felt a bit strange knowing it’s the first time my ring has gone ‘public’.
I probably should have been worried about the outfit (I was dressed as a WAG ok and decided to go the Cheryl Cole in trackies route rather than slapper-chic), but it was the fact that if anyone wanted to they could zoom in and analyze my choice of rock.
Before you accuse me/think I’m self-delusional be honest: how many times have you looked at someone’s wedding dress/engagement ring/fiancée when a ‘Hattie Brett is now engaged’ item appears on your news feed and judged silently?
I didn’t say you’re always thinking ugh, but come on – everyone does it. Still, it feels weird that people are now going to do it about me.
Be kind, please. But yeah, I know, the faux love tattoo doesn’t do me any favours, does it?
