They're now one of Hollywood's most famous couples - and it doesn't seem like eight years ago that Blake Lively married Ryan Reynolds But, fast forward eight years, Ryan has now admitted they deeply regret holding their wedding at a former slave plantation, at Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, saying 'it’s something we’ll always be deeply and unreservedly sorry for'.

At the time, no photographs of the big day were shared on social media or sold to magazines, so details about the wedding were few and far between.

Fast-forward three years and Martha Stewart Weddings magazine shared one image of the dress - a close-up of the skirt - to celebrate the actress's 28th birthday. The American lifestyle guru helped organise the elegant ceremony, which celebrated Ryan's long-time love of Charleston. 'From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration,' the journalist Darcy Miller posted on the official Martha Stewart Weddings blog. 'Congratulations to the newlyweds - thank you for looking to us for help and inspiration, and for including us on your very special day.'

The dress was designed by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, from fashion house Marchesa. Blake has worn the label several times, including a low-cut floral gown for the Time 100 Gala in 2017. Other celebrities who have worn Marchesa to get married include Amy Adams, Nicole Richie and Jessica Biel.

According to Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, 'Blake's cloudlike silk tulle gown featured a fitted bodice, illusion crystal beading on the shoulders, and rose-gold embroidery.'
