Love a designer discount? Well if you're ready to venture further afield than Bicester Village, a trip to Florence's outlets could be for you.

Nestled in the Tuscan hills, thirty minutes outside of Florence, is The Mall - aka the bargain shoppers' dream. The Mallis home to all the big labels - we're talking Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Lanvin. There's even a Tom Ford outlet.

We ventured to the outlet on a trip with the newSkoda Superbwith the important task of reporting back on the bargains to be found. It's a tough job, eh? Of course like any designer outlet the deals can vary hugely each time. The majority of items are reduced by 30%, but discounts can reach upto the dizzy heights of 60%.

The most popular stores are Italian labels Gucci and Prada - which are enormous multi-floor stores fully stocked with a range of handbags, shoes and ready-to-wear. But be prepared, you may have to queue to enter.

We spied Saint Laurent classic bags reduced from 1,690€ to 1,190€, and heavily embellished Valentino gowns (as worn on the Kardashians during Kimye wedding) down from €12,000 to €5,400. That's a almost a saving of €7,000.

While if you're in the market for a Burberry leather jacket, the black cropped jacket worn by Cara Delevingne was reduced from 1,595 € to 1,036 €. That's a saving of almost €1,000. Not bad, eh? Speaking of the Burbs, Burberry trenches have a 35% discount meaning you can snap one up around the €600 mark.

But if you buy one thing at The Mall make it a slice of Gucci pizza. Yep, that's right there is a GUCCI CAFE. Here you can buy desserts emblazoned with the Gucci logo, Gucci salads and Gucci pepperoni pizza. Even the salt sachets are Gucci branded. Instagram gold we tell you...

So how do you get there? The Mall is a 45 minute drive from Florence airport, a scenic drive through the Tuscan hills. Superb roadtrip anyone? Summer weekend hours are from 10am until 8pm, meaning if you're wanting to bargain-hunt on a weekend trip you can squeeze in plenty of shopping before back in work on Monday.
