There may have been reports claiming that Cara Delevingne and girlfriend St Vincent had split up but it seems the pair are still going strong.

Yesterday, Page Six reported that the girls had called time on their relationship, after eight months of dating.

But just hours after the story was posted St Vincent - real name Annie Clarke – uploaded a snap of a signed guitar, thanking Cara for the thoughtful gift.

She wrote: ‘An Airline Twin Tone guitar signed by David Bowie. Thank you, @caradelevingne. Best gift ever in the entire world. (Heart emoji...)’

This isn't the first time the girls have been subject to split rumours – just a few months ago The Sun reported the girls had gone their separate ways – only for Cara to upload a childhood snap of her girlfriend to her Instagram page, just a few hours later.

Today a source told MailOnline the pair 'couldn't be happier'. 'They're still together and very happy. Everyone seems to want them to split up - but the fact is Annie is in Europe on tour and Cara is working in the States. 'They couldn't be happier and the latest reports are yet again just ridiculous.'

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Cara gushed about her girlfriend and credited her with helping her with her acting.

She said: 'Being in love helps, you know? If you’re in love with someone, you can be with them like no one else is in the room. Acting is like that. It’s like taking that feeling and turning it on so nothing else matters when you’re looking in another actor’s face.'

And Cara also addressed claims that her sexuality was just a 'phase' as suggested during an interview with Vogue magazine.

Cara said: '‘My sexuality is not a phase. I am who I am.’
