‘Ladies and Gentleman welcome to the 76th Hunger Games.’ Yes, you have guessed it, Lionsgate Entertainment have finally released the debut trailer of the final *Hunger Games *sequel The Mockingjay Part 2.
Our beloved J Law returns to our screens as Katniss Everdeen, the heroine leading the troops to seek revenge for the final time on President Snow. For you avid Hunger Games fans who have followed Katniss on her journey sacrifing herself instead of younger sister to be the tribute that saves her district, her relationship with Peeta, and nail-biting quells, will not be able to miss the final battle against the Capitol. Katniss teams up with her closest friends and fellow tributes , instead of against them, in their quest to save the future generations in this final showdown.
The 1 minute 43 second trailer with the signature mockingjay birdsong is the sound that instantly had us gripped in 2012 and still makes our stomach’s lurch in anticipation hearing it in the new trailer now. The trailer captures fast paced action, determination, patriotism, a slight glimpse into yet another uber creative costume designs, and is thankfully spoiler free. We have no doubt that Director Francis Lawrence has got more in store for us in his dystopian sequel that he has managed not to unveil in this trailer.
The Hunger Games was in the top ten highest grossing film worldwide in 2012, so if *The Mockingjay Part 2 *follows the same high intensity as the trailer, then and my bet is this final bow will be equally as successful as the first. We just cannot wait for November.
