Maya Thurman-Hawke Makes Her First Solo Red Carpet Appearance

And so a new fashionista is born! Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke's daughter Maya Thurman-Hawke just became the latest celeb offspring to give us a 'she's all grown up!' moment. Attending last night's CFDA Fashion Awards she left her mum and dad at home in favour of the night's coolest date: designer Zac Posen.

Naturally, she was dressed by the man himself, and to top that - in a design from Zac's as-yet unlaunches Resort '16 collection. Speaking on the red carpet he explained: "Maya and I chose the dress together. I thought it was appropriate - Maya's 16. It's her first red carpet alone and it was right - it's ethereal, floral. From my new Resort Collection." He also posted a string of photos of himself and his "gorgeous date" to his Instagram page.

It was a big night for Zac as well as Maya, as he'd just learned that one of this designs featured in Caitlyn Jenner's debut shoot for Vanity Fair. “It was a wonderful surprise!,” he told Yahoo, adding “It’s an incredible moment in history, it’s really changing views about personal creation and about people being able to be who they want to be. To celebrate their personality and their character, that’s really powerful.”

Maya's used to attending A-list events with her parents, joining them at premieres dating back to 2013. Most recently she attended a Theory of Everything premiere with her mum in New York. We reckon there's plenty more to come from Uma's mini-me. Given her height and ethereal features, we're sure it won't be long before modelling offers come flooding in. Zac: care to kick things off?
