First we spend the whole day frolicking in Cheryl Cole wedding news and now we hear a little rumour that Katy Perry might be starring in what will surely be the best throwback from the 90s, like, EVER!
According to reports the Dark Horse star might have been approached to star in a musical remake of Clueless.
Aka one of the best 90s films EVER.
The original movie starred Alicia Silverstone as pampered princess Cher Horowitz, queen of the school and into matchmaking and fashion big time.
Like, HUGE. Iggy Azalea recently used the classic flick as style-inspo for her Fancy music video donning the same yellow checked two-piece and knee socks Cher strutted around her high school halls in.
Iggy’s vid impressed Clueless director Amy Heckerling so much she admitted even she didn’t know how they got it so right.
Amy told Vulture: “It looked like they had more monry for the video than I had for the movie but I was extremely flattered and I thought she [Iggy] was amazing.
“And whoever did the costumes, I don’t know how they did that.”
Neither do we, love.
Amy then went on to make the announcement that she was in the “really early stages” of creating a musical based on Clueless for Broadway.
Like, SERIOUSLY. And total Betty Katy Perry could be the new Cher…
“Katy Perry has expressed interest, and I love her to death!, said Amy.
