Fanny Moizant, Co-founder and Brand Communications Director of Vestiaire Collective, gives us her top tips for how to spring clean your wardrobe. Afterall, Spring is the best time of the year to have a wardrobe clear out...

  1. "Start by clearing everything out of your wardrobe and separating your clothes into three seasons, Autumn/Winter, transitional and Spring/Summer"
  1. "Firstly pull together the classic pieces which will make up the core part of your wardrobe, this includes items such as a chic white shirt, Breton jersey, pairs of jeans, lightweight knits a trench coat and a leather jacket"
  1. "Then work through your Autumn/Winter pieces deciding which key items will still be relevant for next winter. I tend to hold on to simple minimal or classic pieces as these can always be worked in with more on trend pieces"
  1. "Pack up the winter pieces you want to hold on to and if possible store in a separate part of the wardrobe"
  1. "Now you can focus on the pieces you'll be wearing for the coming months. There are two main points to consider, is the piece still on trend or a timeless piece? and does it still fit you?"
  1. "Is each item versatile? All pieces in your wardrobe should work into at least three looks"
  1. "Be ruthless, if you haven't worn something in the last 12-18 months you don't need it in your wardrobe anymore"
  1. "Do you love the way it looks on you? I always think there isn't much point hold on to clothes that don't make you feel amazing"
  1. "Finally, work through your reject pile to assess which pieces you can resell, which pieces are suitable for your local charity shop and which pieces need to be binned. Items which are still desirable, in good condition or still popular but difficult to find will have a good resell value. Reselling these items will help raise extra funds to help purchase new season pieces."
