Look, it's about time that we got real about festivals. Some of us just simply aren't cut out to spend a weekend flailing around in the mud at Glastonbury, some of us like our hair dry, not wet. Which is why - if you happen to be one of those people who would rather spend a weekend with your boring uncle Fred than put up a tent in a damp field - you might want to think about buying a ticket to Benicassim - running from the 16th to the 19th of July.

Here's why: Firstly the festival takes place in Spain, Spain is hot. Secondly it takes place next to a beach which means if you get bored of listening to the headliners (you probably won't Blur and Florence and The Machine are playing) then you can head down to the shore for a quick chill out. Thirdly going is not just like a festival it's like a festival AND a holiday a festiday or holival if you will.

But what do you pack? Well, you won't be needing your poncho this time - here's our five Beni essentials so you can look your best whilst soaking up the sun at one is bound to be one of this summers biggest and best festivals. We're booking our flights now and if you want to buy tickets you still can do here...

1. Sunglasses

Look, you're grown ups, we don't need to tell you about the importance of keeping your eyes safe from the suns burning rays. And what better than with a pair of Raybans? We're loving their Round collection, especially these reflective blue and white shades!

2. Suncream

Has your mother never told you about the dangers of getting burnt! But if you do get burnt...

3. Coconut Oil

Yep, we know this might sound like an odd suggestion but Coconut Oil is literally the saviour of everything. It will sooth your skin, lips and hair in the heat AND you can even use it to remove your make up. Jax Coco do mini pots and you can buy four for just £14 meaning you can share them with your pals... if you want.

4. Mineral Water Spray

We don't know why this is so much better than just chucking a load of water on your face.

5. Sun-proof Shampoo

The only downside to a festival in the sun is it can tend to get sunny. REALLY sunny. Which for some of us means terrible hair. So pop down to Boots and pick yourself up some of the Salon Science Swiss Grape range which contains advanced UV filters which protect your hair from sun damage. Your locks will definitely thank us!
