As the royal baby is expected to arrive in the next two months, fans are starting to gather outside the hospital where Kate is due to give birth.
Royal fans have already been spotted outside the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington - the same hospital where George was delivered. You know how it goes, early bird...
One superfan spotted by the hospital is 71 year-old Margaret Tyler, who was also present at the birth of Prince George. “I was there for six days,” she told the press. “[My son] Andrew was born at St Mary’s and I was only there for two days. I just wanted to feel close to them [William and Kate]”.
When Prince George was born in 2013, fans and photographers camped outside the hospital for up to three and a half weeks before the birth. Now the hospital is taking extra precautions, placing barriers outside the wing and marking specific areas for TV crew, paparazzi and journalists. Fans are also stopped from camping outside until Kate arrives and goes into labour.
