Look away now K Stew and Twighlight obsessives because Robert Pattinson is engaged to FKA Twigs. Sob all you like but it's Robbie and Twigs 4evs now. Of course there are a few questions to be asked here: will the reception be vampire themed? Will K Stew stand up with an objection? And of course, the question we actually all want the answer to, what will the bride be wearing? WELL if her recent clothing choices are anything to go by this will be a very untraditional bride... Here are our predictions for FKA Twigs' wackiest wedding dress...
1. Alexander McQueen
FKA Twigs is a major fan of McQueen having attended the grand opening of the Savage Beauty exhibition looking like an real bird of paradise. Given her current obsession it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the singer go all out in McQueen, rather it’s a racy lacey barely there number or a gown worthy of worldwide gasps, it seems to be the perfect fit.
2. Comme Des Garcons
I meannnn why carry a bouqet when you can simply dress as one? If Rei Kawakubo, the creative director at Comme des Garcons, were a singer she would be FKA Twigs, both are all about the conceptual and are the right side of whacky so it would make for a cracking collab. The archives at Comme Des Garcons would make for the greatest dress up of all time… crown and all!
3. Gareth Pugh
A plastic bag wedding dress? Do we need to say anything else?!
4. Vivienne Westwood
If it was just to steal Viv’s runway make-up tips I am sure FKA Twigs and the Dame of British fashion would collaborate to make quite the wedding dress.
5.Givenchy
Will FKA Twiggs follow in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian and employ Riccardo Tisci to design her wedding dress? Now there is a thought! The autumn/winter 2015 collection, which showed last month at Paris Fashion Week, definitely took a bit of inspiration from the Mercury Music Prize winning artist so it would seem they would be a match made in fashion heaven. Maybe FKA will give white a wide berth and go back to black? And if one is going to buck such a big wedding trend then why not make it black suiting?!
