Our favourite bucket-hat-wearing singer, Pharrell Williams is to be honoured at the 2015 CFDA fashion awards in June.

The prestigious award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America is given to an individual whose style has made a significant impact on international popular culture – it was only a matter of time before Pharrell was honoured.

Diane von Furstenberg, president of the CFDA said: “If cool was a person, it would be Pharrell, not just for his looks and sense of style but for his kindess and openness. I cannot imagine anyone not seduced by him.”

Pharrell has been setting the trends for over a decade. The 41-year old wore shorts to the Oscars and the bucket hat from the 2014 Grammy awards is infamous.

While ‘Happy’ may have been one of Grazia’s songs of the past 10 years, Pharrell has also cofounded the clothing brands Billionaire Boys Clubs and Ice Cream Footwear.

Previous recipients of the award are Rihanna, Johnny Depp, Lady Gaga and Kate Moss so Pharrell is certainly in stylish company.

It has been a winning year for Pharrell as he scooped up three Grammy's and a Brit award. It was only right that he was commended for his excellent red-carpet style too.

Our bucket hats off to you, Pharrell!
