A Deluxe Dry Golden Oil From Tom Ford

The sun is shining, the sky is blue and thoughts have turned to spring attire. Well mine have anyway. Getting my legs out is now imminent and as usual I have neither prepped, preened nor polished for the great reveal. The other problem I have is this - I’m not a fake tan kind of girl. I don’t like the smell, I don’t like the feeling of it on my skin but also don’t partucalry like my sun starved legs at this time of year. The answer? A luxe dry oil. I’ve used many in my time and have relied on a few favourites (Nuxe Dry Golden Oil and Sisley Dry Oil being my go to bottles) but this week I discovered the deluxe and deliciously scented (and as-of-yet-unreleased) Tom Ford offering. One (very speedy) application later and my legs are soft, smooth and ever-so-slightly golden. Oh, and they also smell of tropical summer evenings. Now you wouldn’t get that from a fake tan would you?

A Glamourous Way To Go Gothic

I’m a goth at heart but a glamourous one at that. I love the lace, I love the romance and I love the dark, dramatic colour palette but I do need it to come complete with a glossy top coat if you will. Backstage at this week’s Ungaro show it was like make-up artist Lucia Peroni had read my mind and tapped into my style psyche. Gorgeously glowing, fresh faced models were given a shot of goth with a rich, almost purple lipstick from MAC (the Currant Lipliner, £12.50, was used) while Sam McKnight finished the look perfectly will his signature ‘just rolled out of bed hair.’

At Home Pampering

This has been a week of DIY pampering on the Grazia Beauty Desk; we’ve road tested detox masks as we’ve worked, we’ve put hand treatments through their paces and I’ve been on a personal mission to make over my nails after the misery that is gel manicure overload. Post bath and after slipping into my dressing gown I slather my hands in Crème de La Mer The Body Creme, (£70.00) and then massage Ciate Love Me Nail Oil (£9.90) into my nails and cuticles. Within just a few days I can see and feel the difference. Check back in next week to catch up on my progress. #nailwatch
