During her life, she was a gamechanging musical talent, and now nearly four years on from her passing aged 27, Amy Winehouse is going to become a movie star too in a brand new documentary.

Made by Asif Kapadia, the BAFTA-award-winning director behind Senna (which followed the run-up to the untimely death of Formula One champion Ayrton Senna), it will carefully put together unseen archive footage, and previously unheard tracks from the six-time Grammy-winner - no doubt unveiling as yet unseen details about her troubled relationships and tragic struggle with addiction and media attention.

We know we will be gripped. AMY is in cinemas from 3rd July.

AMY is produced by the same people who told the dramatic story of racing driver Ayrton Senna
