2015 Oscars: And Nominations Are...

Julianne-Moore

After months of speculation, campaigning and nervous biting of perfectly manicured nails – the 2015 Oscar nominations are in! And it's bad news for Jennifer Aniston. Sadface. She was widely tipped to get a Best Actress nod but lost out to the likes of Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon #PrayForJen

Elsewhere, Angelina Jolie also missed out on a Best Director nomination, while Selma and Mr Turner also fared surprisingly badly. Predictable triumphs came for Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore (hurrah!) and Eddie Redmayne.

The nominations saw Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel scoop nine each, The Imitation Game get eight, and Boyhood and American Sniper secure six apiece (including a Best Actor nod for Bradley Cooper). Well done Bradders!
