As if we needed more proof, Taylor Swift officially became the greatest celebrity ever this Christmas. The singer donned her Santa hat, went on a shopping spree, wrapped hoards of hand-picked presents and made festive packages for her dearest fans to thank them for their support. How sweet is that?
And she documented the whole process. Footage was released on Taylor's YouTube channel showing Santa Swifty being utterly adorable as she prepares the personalised gifts with a little help from Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson (Tay's cats). The clip explains how the 25-year-old trawled the social networking pages of her diehard Swifties to get an idea of what they would want for Christmas.
"Shortly after the massively successful release of '1989', fans on social media began to experience another phenomenon. After something that became known as Tay-lurking, whereupon every detail of a fan's likes, job, whereabouts was studied intently … a single Santa emoji would appear on their socials. From one Taylor Swift. Large Fedex boxes began to appear on the doorsteps of certain fans in what became tenderly referred to as 'Swiftmas'. These are their stories."
Most brilliantly, we see her fans' reactions at receiving the surprise bundles, complete with hand-written notes. There's a lot of squealing and blubbing. Taylor even drops off one of the packages herself, travelling to Connecticut so she can meet her super-fan's young son. It's enough to bring a tear to our eye.
