There is no sign of lob let-up. Hot on the heels ofRosie Huntington Whiteley, Kate Bosworth is the latest star to go for the chop.

Kate's been a beauty crush of ours for a while - we may not be able to mimic her two-toned eyes, but we like to think we could try and pull off wet-look hair, super dewy skin and a fire engine red lip like her.

However, Kate's hairstylist (and pal) Harry Josh was quick to point out that Kate's not merely following a trend, telling Refinery29.com, "Even though bobs are big right now, Kate's focus is on her craft. She has a few great upcoming roles, so as much as she was attached to her longer hair, she knew that cutting it would be best."

Harry previewed her cut with a snap on his Instagram, saying he couldn't wait for the paps to pick it up and Kate followed suit [above], explaining the new look is for an upcoming role in new film, 90 Minutes In Heaven. And indeed, it is heavenly.

We're very excited to see how this new 'do ties in with her upcoming film roles, but mainly, we love how Harry cut this. Maybe a smidge shorter than other long bobs du jour, the length perfectly frames Kate's face and leaves ample room for messy texture, which Harry created with a salt spray. It's the perfect mix of messy and groomed - Harry ran a flat iron over the top sections of hair to avoid fluffiness - and is reminiscent of other done-undone bobs of the moment, like how Sienna Miller wore hers to the Golden Globes this week.

The salt spray gives the look brilliant piecey texture, but also has a kind of gritty sophisticated to it, thanks to the swept-back sides and bouncy ends. We reckon this would look equally lovely on Kate poker straight with her trademark, mermaid-esque makeup. Who will be next to go for the cut of the minute? Selena Gomez, here’s looking at you…
